Our Association is a family of more than 130 churches of all sizes and styles .  From time to time new and established churches express an interest in becoming a part of our Associational family.  For information on what it means to be a part of BR-KC and the process involved, contact our Interim Executive Director, Dean Preuett816-795-1822 or deanp@kcbaptist.org.

Quick facts about our member churches:

Each church is self governing and totally autonomous

The Association does not exercise authority over its member churches

Each church shares a common Baptist doctrinal heritage

Each church is in a covenant relationship with the churches of the Association

Member churches voluntarily support the ministry of the Association
The Association provides a means for its member churches to cooperate in evangelism, discipleship, ministry and proclamation.

Associations are certainly not new.  In fact, the first entity that Baptist formed (beyond the local church) was the Baptist Association.  The first Association was formed 300 years ago in New England.  Today there are more than 1200 Associations located in every corner of the USA.  Today associations help churches and their leaders connect to each other for information, resources, fellowship, support and strategic partnerships.  Associations are more vital today than ever.

Associations like ours consist of autonomous, self-governing, local Baptist churches who choose to work along side each other for the singular purpose of proclaiming the Good News of Jesus.  At its best an Association is churches serving together and serving each other.
