BR-KC Disaster Relief Mobile Feeding Unit
Hurricane Katrina and the devastation of the Gulf Coast heightened everyone's awareness of how fragile our lives can be, and the response of Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Teams has been a primary way for Christ to demonstrate his love and caring for the people of that region.

Many of our churches have sent mission teams to the area to help with the work, and a new piece of equipment now under construction will assist in those ministries as well as other emergencies that will arise in the future.

Under the supervision of B.G. Johnson, layman from FBC, Raymore and Disaster Relief volunteer for the Missouri Baptist Convention, a new Mobile Feeding Unit is being built. An anonymous donation of $5000 was more than matched by members of the Missions and Ministry Support Club in the Association, and the unit is nearing completion. Assisting B.G. have been Bill Anderson and Dick Scholtens of FBC, Raymore, and Larry Roberts of FBC, Grain Valley.

The trailer was designed by B.G., and befefits from his years of experience in Disaster Relief ministry and feeding thousands of people who have had natural disasters disrupt their lives.
